  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 340g

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no flour streaks remain.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded balls of dough, about 2 tablespoons each, onto prepared baking sheets spaced 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, rotating the pan halfway, until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
