Preparation
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon and cooking until browned.
- Remove beef with a slotted spoon, keeping the drippings in the pan.
- Sauté onions and bell peppers in the drippings until softened and caramelized.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in flour until absorbed by the vegetables.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and simmer until thickened.
- Return beef to the pan, add soy sauce, paprika, pepper, and salt, and cook until coated.
- Top with provolone cheese, cover, and let melt.
- Toast buns and serve the mixture on top.
