Cooking Steps
- Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels until no visible moisture remains.
- Season both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, cumin, and smoked paprika, pressing spices into the meat.
- Whisk together lime juice, chicken broth, and grape juice in a small bowl.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sear chicken in a single layer for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the lime juice mixture, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in butter and optional heavy cream until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
