  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp capers drained
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • lemon slices for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Pat mahi mahi fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear fillets for 4 minutes without moving until golden brown.
  4. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish reaches 145°F; remove and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan and simmer for 1 minute.
  7. Whisk in heavy cream and lemon juice, bringing to a gentle simmer.
  8. Stir in lemon zest and capers, cooking for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  9. Return fish to the pan, coat with sauce, and heat for 1 minute.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

Pat fish dry before searing for a golden crust. Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
