Cooking Steps
- Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Sauté onion and celery in the rendered fat until softened; add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Place the onion mixture into the slow cooker, then add chicken broth, clam liquid mixture, potatoes, corn, thyme, bay leaf, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until potatoes are tender.
- Remove bay leaf, stir in heavy cream, and add the drained clams and cooked turkey bacon.
- Whisk cornstarch and water to form a slurry, pour into the slow cooker, and cook on high for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
- Adjust salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat on the stovetop over medium-low heat.
