  • 1/2 cup brown sugar 100g
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil 120ml
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 95g
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 30g
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips 85g

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition until the mixture is thick.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt into a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Cool completely for at least 1 hour before lifting with parchment and cutting into 16 squares.
